The median price of a house or condominium that sold in DC last month was $550,000, representing the highest level on record for October and 1.3% increase year-over-year, according to the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors. It remains an extremely tight seller’s market in DC as inventory is scarce relative to demand. Half the homes sold in October were on the market nine days or less before going under contract.
