Montgomery County was recently named as one of twenty metropolitan areas on Amazon’s shortlist for its second headquarters. Below are details of the county’s proposal to lure the e-commerce giant to our region:
• A proposed 100-acre campus in White Flint or North Bethesda
• $2 billion in tax breaks
• $3 billion in transportation upgrades
• 10 years of tax credits and exemptions
• $10 million in grant money per year for 15 years

Of all the incentive programs offered to Amazon that have thus been revealed, Maryland’s is second only to New Jersey’s $7 billion offering.

A decision is expected by the end of 2018.
