U.S. News & World Report released its Best Global Universities report on Tuesday, which ranked 1,250 universities across 74 countries, focusing on schools’ research output. Two schools in Maryland made it into the top 50: Johns Hopkins (#10) and the University of Maryland at College Park (#50). The University of Maryland Baltimore came in at #203. In Virginia, both the University of Virginia and Virginia Tech earned high marks at #107 and #250, respectively. The District’s George Washington University came in at #260 and Georgetown at #279.
