Visit the annual Chocolate Festival at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. Chef Freddie Bitsoie will demonstrate recipes inspired by chocolate, including Mexican hot chocolate, cacao-rubbed pork loin, and rich chocolate mousse. Tastings will be offered, and the Mitsitam Native Foods Café will have a special menu based on the demonstrations. There will also be short performances of traditional Guatemalan marimba music.

Attend a live recording of local podcast “You, Me, Them, Everybody.” The podcast is hosting a marathon 11-hour session at the Wonderland Ballroom. Hosts Brandon Wetherbee, Allison Lane, and Jenn Tisdale welcome special guests including Clinton Yates of ESPN and Dave Weigel of The Washington Post. There will also be stand-up and music performances.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day early at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center’s HeartBreaker HyBall. The event raises money for Pyramid Atlantic, and includes a silent auction, DJs, beer, and wine. There will also be DIY gift bag-making and a relationship advice booth with “The Love Doctor.”
