*DC Fashion Week kicks off with a Friday night awards show and pop-up shop at The Washington Court Hotel, featuring top DC-based fashion houses including Elizabeth St John, Earle Bannister, and Heydari. The DC Metropolitan Emerging Designers & Indie Artists showcase will take place Saturday at the Liaison Hotel, and you can cap off the weekend at the International Couture Collections Show hosted at the Embassy of France on Sunday.

*The 10th annual Atlas Intersections Festival takes place this weekend, with performances designed to inspire a connected, diverse community and engaged artists. Highlights of the festival include an interactive musical improvisation on Friday and the Gin Dance Company’s NEXT performance on Saturday, combining Chinese Opera and modern dance. The festival runs through March 3.

*Celebrate National Margarita Day on Friday at various restaurants around the city: MXDC Cocina Mexicana is offering cucumber-jalapeño Don Julio margs for $10; El Rey is serving $7 frozen and classic margaritas from noon to 7 PM; and Tico is having a build-your-own margarita bar for $10, plus $5 tacos and $10 nachos.

*At the National Gallery of Art this weekend, the “From Vault to Screen: Portugal” series presents newly-restored or overlooked Portuguese films from the collection of Cinemateca Portuguesa-Museu do Cinema. Screenings include films by director Manoel de Oliveira and Paulo Rocha.

*Mess Hall’s fifth annual Ramen World takes place on Sunday, featuring star chefs and taste bowls from Bad Saint, Himitsu, Daikaya, and more. Tickets for two sessions ($75-$120) include ramen, snacks, Kirin beers, cocktails, and more, and proceeds support the Capital Area Food Bank.
