Money magazine released its annual ranking of the best places to live in the nation, and Bethesda came in at #20. Bethesda’s vibrant urban core, high levels of wealth and education, and proximity to D.C. were cited as reasons for the high ranking. Bethesda not only has plentiful shopping, dining, and entertainment options but also numerous cultural venues and events throughout the year.
The ranking, produced in partnership with realtor.com, looked at communities with at least 50,000 residents and considered factors such as economic health, public school performance, local amenities, housing, cost of living, and diversity.
