As the new academic year quickly approaches, many local students and teachers are in need of supplies. District of Columbia Public Schools values donations to support their educational efforts and collects the following items:
*Pens, pencils, notebooks, crayons, & glue
*Small portable white boards and dry erase markers
*Art supplies
*Books on tape
*Globes and maps
*Calculators, geometry tools, & graph paper
*Sports equipment
*Cameras
*Flash drives
*Computers and printers
*School uniforms
*Hygiene kits

To make a donation, DCPS recommends contacting a school directly to gain a better understanding of the school’s specific needs. You can also support a DCPS classroom through DonorsChoose.org, an approved online platform through which DCPS may receive donations.
