Local real estate website UrbanTurf identified five DC neighborhoods that experienced the biggest spike in home values in 2018. The two neighborhoods at the top of the pack are located on opposite ends of the city: Brentwood, adjacent to Union Market and Ivy City, saw a 40% appreciation in home prices this year, and West End, adjacent to Georgetown, saw a 25% price increase. The other three neighborhoods to rounding out the top five are Burleith, Eckington, and Anacostia
