*PLNT Burger: 833 Wayne Avenue in Whole Foods – Silver Spring 

A vegan fast-casual restaurant serving plant-based burgers, fries and soft-serve ice cream, is now open inside Whole Foods in downtown Silver Spring. The new concept is part of the Spike Mendelsohn restaurant group.

*Poke Papa: Westfield Montgomery mall 
Poke Papa, a fast-casual restaurant serving Hawaiian food will open in the food court of Westfield Montgomery mall on Saturday. The Bethesda location will be the chain’s first location in Maryland; the brand is known for its customizable bowls consisting of proteins and vegetables.

*Modena: 1100 New York Ave NW (D.C.)
Modena is an Italian-inspired restaurant with seasonal and regionally sourced ingredients with a modern twist from Chef John Melfi.  

*Anju: 1805 18th St NW (D.C.)
Chef’s Danny Lee and Scott Drewno give a modern flair to traditional Korean flavors to create a unique and hospitable dining experience.

*Taim: 1065 Wisconsin Ave NW (D.C.)

Second location for one of New York’s most popular falafel shops is expanding in D.C. with a new location in Georgetown.

*Gogi Yogi: 1029 Eighth St NW (D.C.)

Korean/African American Chef Patrice Cunningham has recently opened Washington DC’s first tabletop Korean barbecue restaurant in the Shaw neighborhood.
